Slack
Send new bookings and fault reports to a Slack channel via an incoming webhook so the right people are notified automatically.

Microsoft Outlook
Not available yetTwo-way sync of bookings into a shared Outlook calendar. Built, but not yet switchable — it needs a Microsoft app registration we haven't stood up, so use the calendar subscription below for Outlook today.
Calendar subscription
Subscribe to your lab's bookings from Outlook, Google Calendar or Apple Calendar with a private read-only link — no admin setup on your side.
Excel & CSV
Bulk-import your existing chemical and equipment spreadsheets with smart column mapping — and export any list back out.
QR workflows
Print QR labels for chemicals and equipment, and for freezer boxes and samples on Pro. Scan from any phone to open the record, book it or report a fault — no app to install.
Avery label sheets
Export a selection as a Word document laid out for a standard A4 label sheet — the same product codes Word's own Labels dialog carries, or your own measurements typed off the packet. Print it from Word or LibreOffice.
Email notifications
Automatic expiry digests, service reminders and booking confirmations delivered by email to the people who need them.
REST API & webhooks
Issue a scoped API key in Settings and read or write your own records from a script. Outgoing webhooks post events to a URL you control, so another system can react without polling.
PubChem data
Look up chemical names, CAS numbers, formulae and GHS hazard data automatically when adding a chemical.
Slack and Microsoft Teams are optional and configured per organisation in Settings. Anything marked “not available yet” is exactly that — we'd rather flag it than have you find out after signing up.
Integration questions
Do I need to set up integrations to use LevelSixLabs?+
No. The platform works fully on its own — chemical inventory, booking, equipment records, reports and in-app notifications all work out of the box. Integrations are there to fit LevelSixLabs into the tools you already run.
How do the Slack, Microsoft Teams and Outlook integrations work?+
Slack and Teams are live: both use an incoming webhook to post booking and fault notifications to a channel of your choice, they are enabled per organisation in Settings, and both are off by default. Two-way Outlook sync is built but not switchable yet — it needs a Microsoft app registration we have not stood up, so no lab can enable it today. For Outlook right now, use the calendar subscription: it puts your bookings in Outlook, Google or Apple Calendar with a private read-only link and no involvement from your IT department.
Can I import my existing spreadsheets?+
Yes. Chemicals and equipment both support bulk import from Excel or CSV with smart column mapping that recognises hundreds of common header names. You can also export any list back out to CSV.
Do QR codes need a separate app?+
No. Print QR labels from LevelSixLabs and scan them with any phone camera — they open the record in the browser, where you can book the item or report a fault. Nothing to install. Labels exist for chemicals and equipment on every plan, and for freezer boxes and samples on Pro. There are no room labels: a room is booked from the calendar, not from a code on the door.
Can we print labels on the sheets we already buy?+
Yes. Select the records you want, choose which fields go on the label, and you get a Word document laid out for a standard A4 label sheet — the same Avery codes Word's own Mailings → Labels dialog carries, from full-page down to the minis that fit a cryovial. If your sheet isn't in the list, type the measurements off the packet and it lays out to those instead. Word or LibreOffice prints it; nothing else to buy.
