New · Fault response workflow

From “it broke” to “engineer dispatched” — in three taps.

A piece of kit fails, or a room's HVAC packs in. Someone scans the QR code or opens the room page, taps Report fault, describes the issue and when it happened. LevelSixLabs handles the rest — for both equipment and rooms.

Equipment & asset records — common questions

What does scanning a QR code actually do?+

Each piece of equipment gets a QR label that opens its record on any phone — service history, certificates, the responsible contact, and a button to report a fault, with no app to install.

Can we track service history and certificates?+

Yes. Log each service (date, type, who did it, next due, certificate number, notes) and attach the certificate PDF. Dropping in a PDF can auto-detect the dates and reference for you to review.

How do faults and downtime work?+

Anyone can report a fault with a severity. An admin can set a 'blocks bookings until' date so the kit can't be booked while it's out of action, and the responsible person is alerted.

Can we manage consumables and documents too?+

Yes, on the Pro plan: consumables with low-stock alerts, a documents library (SDS, SOPs, manuals, calibration certs) with expiry tracking, and a visitor sign-in log.

Can we bulk-import our equipment list?+

Yes — import from CSV or Excel with the same smart column mapping as the chemical importer.
