Equipment & room booking — common questions
How does it stop double-bookings?+
Overlapping bookings for the same equipment or room are rejected — checked when you book for a clear 'clashes with…' message, and enforced at the database level so two people booking at the same instant can't both succeed.
Can we require training before someone books a piece of kit?+
Yes. Mark equipment as training-required and only people with a valid (non-expired) training record can book it. Untrained users see it locked in the picker, with a clear reason.
What calendar views are there?+
Day, week and month, with overlapping bookings shown side by side and stable per-item colours. State is in the URL, so you can share a link to a specific view.
Can people book from their phone?+
Yes — the calendar is mobile-first, and you can scan a QR code on a piece of equipment to open it and book on the spot.
Does booking sync with Outlook or notify Teams?+
Optional Microsoft integrations exist: bookings can post to a Teams channel and sync to an Outlook calendar. They're off by default and configured per organisation in Settings.
